Winnifred Cowx

Winnifred Margaret (Winnie) Hill Cowx passed peacefully at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer ON on September 2, 2013 in her 93rd year. She was born in Yates Alberta to the late Albert Hill and Maude Clarkson. She married the late Joseph Cowx in 1940 and they lived together in Timmins ON, before relocating to Sarnia in 1942. Winnie is pre-deceased by sons Doug and Terry, and survived by Bonnie (David) Bunyan and Paul (Emay) Cowx, daughters in law Jane and Claire, 12 grandchildren Kate (Jeff) Lee, Corinne (Jon) Borman, Sheila (Mike) Sutton, Tony Cowx, David (Lori) Cowx, Scott (Kimiye) Cowx, Heather (Adam) Summers, Mike (Carol) Bunyan, Rob (Heidi) Bunyan, Arianne, Christina & Nicole Cowx, Carlo (Wendy) Capaldi, Julia Capaldi and great grandchildren; Heather and Stephan Lee, Dylan and Kylie Borman, Anna and Kieran Sutton, Kristina, Emily and Mathew Saunders, Molly, Nicklaus and Lucy Cowx, Augusta and Mackenzie Cowx, Emma, Mark, Nathan, and Cole Summers, Austin Bunyan, Charlotte and Bridgette Capaldi, Parker and Cohen Snelgrove. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Canada or Dunlop United Church. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8 at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, followed by Service at 3 p.m. A Family burial will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at Terrace Lodge, Amica at London & Highview Residence, and to family & friends (Diana Jamieson, and specially Florine Frappier, a friend for 85 years whose care and visits were very much appreciated.
