William Alexander Muir

MUIR, BILL – At Bluewater Health on Thursday, October 20, 2016, William “Bill” Alexander Muir of Point Edward passed away. He was the loving husband of Carol (Babel) (Brown) Muir a dear father of Cindy McLam (Todd), Bridget Bell, Wayne Muir, Tracy Clarke (Lou) and step-father of Lori Madill, Jerry Brown, Linda Williams (Jeff) Dallas (Amanda) Brown and grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Leona (Edwards) in 1981 and his son Billy in 1992. Bill was a longtime Point Edward resident most his life and had retired from Polysar after 25 years of service. He was also a musician for many years playing the accordion and also sang with the “Rhythm Ramblers”. He was considered to be a great landlord in Lambton County for over 50 years. He was an avid traveler and had many treasured vacations in Treasure Island, Florida. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen’s Club in Point Edward. Private family interment has taken place at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or the VON would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the D.
