WILLIAM HENRY MINIFIE died July 2, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia at the age of 85 years. Bill was the son and only child of Harry Minifie and Helen (McNiff) Minifie. He is survived by his cousins Peggy (Clunie) Robillard and Jack Clunie. Bill was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Port Huron Junior College, Wayne State University and the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law. Bill enjoyed life-long friendships including those with Lyle Curran, Bob Marquis (deceased), Gene McCaffrey, Dick Gibbons and Wenda Lowrie. He was an important member of the Lang family of Brigden and will be missed by Zach, Sarah, Aubrey, Wallace, Gwen, Wally, Terry Lynn, Katie and Julian. Bill enjoyed a long retirement filled by interests in current events, modern history, golf, cooking dinners and working on ideas of all kinds. A gentle life, a burden to no one, and a joy and delight to all who knew him. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Tuesday July 7th at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia Library or St. Joseph's Hospice.
