William James Hipple

Suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, William James Hipple of Sarnia passed away at the age of 82. Bill was a lifelong resident of Sarnia, a graduate of Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, and a Chartered Accountant who maintained an active private practice until his death.  He was a Shriner and an avid sports fan who especially loved University of Michigan football, the Detroit Tigers and the Montreal Canadiens.  Bill was predeceased by his wife Nancy Lou (Robbins) Hipple (2012), mother Eva Marguerite (Schram) Hipple (2002) and father James Clarence Hipple (1989). He was a beloved brother-in-law to Nancy’s 9 siblings, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Bill is survived by his sweetheart, Shirley Davidson, daughter Suzanne and her husband Peter Peterson, son James and his wife Leigh Anne, daughter Yvonne Amanor-Boadu, and grandchildren Judy and Minnalou.  The family is planning a memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children - Canada or to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J.
