William Frederick Finley

At Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, WILLIAM FREDERICK FINLEY, age 82, of Corunna passed away peacefully with his family at his side. He was the loving husband for 62 years of Elizabeth Anne Finley and dear father of Joan Diosy (Gabor), Lou Anne McLachlan (Jim), Bruce Finley (Patty), Robert Finley (Nancy), Ed Finley (Christine) and Gary Finley (Barb), 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, brother of Garnet Finley of Kamloops. He was predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Bill retired from Shell Canada in 1988 after 36 years of service. He was a proud and longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. #447. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, November 8th at 11:00 am. Memorial gifts to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
