William Harry Clarkson

February 20, 1939 — June 10, 2023

William H. Clarkson passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Saturday June 10th 2023. He was predeceased by his parents Alberta and Luther and his sister Rose Marie Clarkson. Bill is survived by his wife and love of his life of 56 years, Nancy and their children Russell (Salena), Michelle (David), playful and hilarious granddad to Jason Cameron John Nolan and Nicole.

He was born in Sarnia and spent 8 years in a one-room school called SS #3 in Bright’s Grove and attended SCITS . Bill had a long successful career in the chemical valley and was co-owner of TJ McCarthy where he retired from in 2008.

During his time of traveling for his company he flew in the first 747 jet from Toronto to England. He filled his life time with Corvette drag racing, scuba diving, tap and ballroom dancing, curling, skiing, swimming, watching NASCAR racing, traveling across North America, tobogganing and skating with his grandchildren and caring for his home. He was and more than likely will still be, an avid model railroader busy replicating the Chessie System.
