Wallace Herbert Hastings

Peacefully at home on Thursday, October 30, 2014 WALLACE HERBERT HASTINGS, age 80 of Point Edward, beloved husband of the late Olive Daisy (Hancock) Hastings (2011). Dear father of Sandra Prideaux (Chris), Sharon Edgar (Paul) and Lynda Gidge (Sheldon). Step - father of Janet Galizia (Mario), Jim Gudrie (Liz), Joanne Allen (Keith), Diane Slack (Brian), Darlene Butts (Ron) and Jennifer Benjamin (Dave). Cherished grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by step - daughter Debbie Pugh and granddaughter Lisa Pugh. Born in Sarnia, Wallace was a life - long resident of Sarnia and Point Edward and a member of St. Paul's United Church, retired member of the Pt. Edward Volunteer Fire Department and retired from Imperial Oil Limited in 1991 with 37 years of service. Funeral service will be held from St. Paul's United Church (360 Devine Street) on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Visitation will take place at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, November 2nd from 2:00 - 4:00pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Paul's United Church.
