It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Vivian Wellington at home on June 14, 2024, in her 92nd year. She was the youngest of 4 born to Leonard Carrothers and Mae Oliver.
Vivian is survived by her loving children Rod, Robin & Darcy, her cherished grandchildren Kyle, Tara, Daina (Kent) & Tamerra (Tyler), her adored great-grandchildren Zach, Mace, Brodie, Will and Sarah. She will be missed by sister-in-law Lily Carrothers, special niece Barb Fuller, longtime friend Marilyn Rowe and by all her extended family. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
Vivian is predeceased by son Terry (2023), daughter-in-law Julie Smith (2024), sister Ilene (2008) brother-in-law Bob Morgan (2004), brothers Basil (1978) and Ivan (2007).
Mom was proud of her accomplishment as a Teachers Aid, learning brail to assist a student from elementary to all through secondary school. When mom retired, she went for monthly luncheons with the teachers she got to know, Shirley Holmes, Barb Boyes, Pat Nicholls and MJ Miller. This past year Moms health didn’t allow her to meet up with them which she truly missed. Mom enjoyed her time as a volunteer with the Bluewater Health Children's Auxiliary for over 25 years.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Kim Scott of Home & Community Care Support Services, Bayshore PSW’s & Hogans Pharmacy “going above and beyond.”
We also like to acknowledge Mom’s fantastic neighbors who were like a second family to her. Al, Deb, Joanne, John, Gayle, Kathy, Marg, Jan & Joan, you gave us comfort knowing that you were there for Mom.
As per Vivians wishes cremation has taken place, arrangement entrusted to D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. A celebration of life will be held at St Luke’s United Church 350 Indian Road South on July 6, 2024 12pm-3pm.
Rest now Mom. We will miss you terribly, but know you are at peace.
As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Bluewater Health Children's Auxiliary in care of Bluewater Health Foundation. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
