Violet Shand

At Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Thursday, November 10, 2011, Violet May (Underwood) Shand, age 85, of Sarnia, formerly of Camlachie, beloved wife of the late Gordon Joseph (Joe) Shand (1988). Dear mother of Bill Shand his wife Connie of Fort Gratiot, Michigan, Ralph Shand and his wife Denise of Collingwood, Don Shand and his wife Marion of Sarnia, Jim Shand and his wife Betty of Saskatoon, Wilbur Shand and his wife Margie of Lambton Shores and Linda Chamberlain and her husband Francois (Frank) of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of 28, great grandmother of 34 and great great grandmother of 3. Predeceased by her sons Gordon Orville Shand and Harold Michael Shand. Funeral services will be held at the PEOPLES CHURCH, 3888 London Line, on Monday, November 14th at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a reception at the church following the funeral services. Visitation will take place at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and on Monday at the church from 12 noon until time of service. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Peoples Church.
