At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Friday, June 19, 2009, VIOLA RACHEL (McHAIG) McLEAN, age 96, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Francis Edmond (Ed) McLean. Dear mother of Gary McLean of St. Catharines and dear mother-in-law of Frances McLean of Sarnia. Dear sister of Anabell and Margery both of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Clark (Julie) of Calgary, Arianna of St. Catharines, Lisa of Burlington and Coleen of Sarnia. Great-grandmother of Cody and Logan of Calgary, Beau and Francesca of St. Catharines, Tammy, Cindy and Carrie all of Chatham. Great-great-grandmother of Alisa and Donavan. Sister-in-law of Myrtal Mercurio and Jane McLean. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McLean was pre-deceased by a daughter Jo-Anne Jones, a son Edmond McLean, a grandson Howard Hoad, a granddaughter Tracy McLean, two brothers Albert and Hugh McHaig and a sister Lorraine Case. A private family graveside service was held at Lakeview Cemetery on Tuesday, June 23 rd. with Angela MacDonald officiating. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society (cheques only please). Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.
