Valerie Rose Gardner

At Sumac Lodge nursing home, Valerie Rose Gardner died peacefully on August 17, 2023 at the age of 93.  She was a longtime friend of Bill and Emily Angove, and a special nanny to Bob (Sheilla), Bryan (Jill) and Bill (Cheryl), who she was affectionately known to as “WA”.  She was born in Seaford Town, Jamaica on January 4, 1930 and arrived in Canada in 1951 at the age of 21.  WA is survived by sisters Rosaly and Melrose and predeceased by her parents Leo and Claris Gardner as well as six siblings.

Cremation and private family services have been entrusted to the D. J Robb Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St., N7T 5W9.
