Thomas Buckingham

Suddenly at Trillium Villa on Saturday, October 8, 2011, THOMAS FREDERICK BUCKINGHAM, age 87, of Sarnia. Survived by the é¢a‚A"light of his lifeé¢a‚, a very loving and special lady Myrtle Austin. Loving father of James (Kristien) Buckingham of U.A.E., and Catherine Verslype of Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Melissa and Jennifer Verslype and Jasmine and Manon Buckingham. Survived by brother Robert (Betty) Buckingham of Sarnia and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Patricia (McAuley) Buckingham (1996), son-in-law Gene (2010), brothers Leslie (Betty), George, Teddy, sister Veronica, nieces Karen and Barbara. Tom was a veteran of WWII, past president and proud and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #62, also a proud member of the Shrine Club and Masonic Lodge. Tom retired from Suncor after 30+ yrs of service. Tom enjoyed everyday to the fullest, enjoying family, friends, helping others and will be greatly missed by many. Cremation has taken place. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Thursday October 13th at 3:00 pm. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until time of service. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the R.C.L. Br.#62 Poppy Fund or Shriner's Childrens Hospital (cheques only please).
