Theodore "Ted" Earl White

Peacefully at Vision Nursing Home, Theodore Earl “Ted” White passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Valerie Doreen (George) White (2010). Father of Cid Bearhart, Annette George (Felix), Connie Lynn John and Theodore White Jr. Grandfather of Nathan (Melissa), Dan (Sheena), Matt (Beth-Ann), Jessica, Chris, Lavina, Josh, Ivan (Cassandra), Ryan and 21 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Dorothy (nee Thomas) White, brothers Milton, Reynold, Leroy, Cleaveland, John Benjamin who perished together in a fire on July 24, 1933, Verlyn, Raymond, Kerwin, son Gwiisens and  grandson Jacob.

Ted loved to attend Pow Wow’s with his family and watching and listening to his grandson’s sing, he enjoyed many sports; hockey, golf, bowling (his highest game was 298), he enjoyed watching baseball, played bingo, attended movies by himself and he attended many Eagle Staff gatherings

Family and friends will be received at his daughter's home at 1078 Tashmoo Avenue  on Saturday, February 10, 2024, starting at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community & Youth Centre (1972 Virgil Avenue, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 7H5) on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Aamjiwnaang First Nation Cemetery. 

Following the interment family and friends are invited back to the  Maawn Doosh Gumig Community & Youth Centre (1972 Virgil Avenue, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 7H5) for the Celebration of Life Feast.

Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Aamjiwnaang Food Bank. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd.
