At Bluewater Health on Saturday December 11, 2010 TADEUSZ (TED) WOJTASZEK age 91 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Franciszka (Korniejczuk) Wojtaszek (2010). Dear father of Richard Wojtaszek and his wife Janina of Sarnia, Maria Healey and her husband Barry of Woodstock, and Victoria Kerr and her husband Kevin of Bright's Grove. Loving grandfather of Barbara Wojtaszek and her husband Franc Pridoehl, Daniel Wojtaszek and his partner Christie Paradis, David Healey, Anne Angelescu and her husband Dragos, Sheena Kerr and her fianc郩 Jon Stevens and Leisa Kerr and her friend John Moyer. Proud great-grandfather of Benjamin Kerr-Stevens. Uncle of Henryk Piotrowski and his wife Ewa of Toronto. Born in Poland on October 19, 1919, Tadeusz was a veteran of WWII serving with the Polish Division of the British Army and was awarded the 1939-45 War Star, the Italy Star and the Defense Medal. He immigrated to Canada in 1947 and resided in the Chatham area for 40 years, moving to Sarnia in 1987. He was a member of Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at QUEEN of PEACE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (560 Rosedale) on Thursday December 16th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. where prayers will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only please).
