Susan Manning

After a courageous battle, at St. Joseph's Hospice on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, SUSAN ELAINE (DENISE) MANNING, age 57, of Sarnia, beloved wife of Steve Manning. Loving mother of Angela Hammond and her husband Paul of Calgary, Alberta and Jason Manning and his fiancee Roshika of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also survived by cherished granddaughter Ayla Hammond. Daughter of Vic and Aileen Denise of Midland, Ontario. Sister of Richard Denise and his wife Carol of Midland, Nancy Denise of Toronto, Elizabeth Brown and her husband Clark of Geraldton, Janet Feir and her husband Scott of Midland and Mary Ross and her husband Cam of Oakville. Sister in law to Debbie Lund and her husband John of Woodstock, Dave Manning and his wife Joan of Belle River and John Manning and his wife Connie of Sarnia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Susan was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in 1976 with a B.A. in Sociology. She enjoyed being a girl guide leader for many years and was a member and Sunday school teacher at Grace United Church. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, on Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 am with Reverend Brad Morrison officating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only please).
