At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, SHIRLEY ANNE (CRAWFORD) WITHERS, age 87, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Frederick Harry Withers. Dear mother of Bette-Jane Genttner and her husband wiliam of London and Michael Withers and his wife Lynn of Point Edward. Loving grandmother of David Cowx (Lori), Scott Cowx (Kimiye) and Heather Summers (Adam). Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Phyllis Edwards of Camlachie and Norma Tose of Brantford. Pre-deceased by a sister Doris Crawford, Mrs. Withers was born in Plympton Township. A retired secondary school teacher, she was an active member of the Retired Secondary School Teachers Federation. She was a member of the I.O.D.E., the Christian Endeavour Fellowship, the U. C. W of Grace United Church and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. Shirley enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends and relaxing at her cottage at Sugar Lake. Funeral service will be held at GRACE UNITED CHURCH (Cathcart & Indian Rd.) on Monday, November 2 nd. at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brad Morrison officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Grace United Church or the Charity of Choice (cheques only please).
