Sandra Baines

BAINES, SANDRA LEE - Passing with her mother and brothers at her side on March 13, 2010 in her 57th year. She was predeceased by her father, Ross (2005), survived by her mother Dorothy (Scott) of Point Edward, brother Ronald and wife Debbie of Mooretown, and brother Gary and wife Sharon of Bright's Grove. A special place was held in her heart for her three nephews Brock, Brent and Derek Baines, sons of Gary and Sharon. She is also survived by her uncle Ted Baines, Bruce Barry, David Kilbreath, Bob Scott and Aunt Marg, and Aunt Wanda Long, along with numerous cousins, and lovely family friend Kay Lawrence. Sandy was a compassionate , caring nurse for her entire adult life, and was well respected by her peers. Her sisterhood of nurses returned that same compassion and care to her during her time of need. She enjoyed life, spending time with her mom, family and her é¢a‚A"boysé¢a‚. Loyalty to her church was always a priority. She loved the outdoors, the beach, sailing, always game for a day trip with family or friends, and just mention a day of shopping - wow! Sandy will be remembered by her generous heart and her beautiful smile. Special thanks to her dear friends Kathy Brooks, Pat Woods, Lorraine Walker, along with her friends and colleagues at Bluewater Health for their best wishes and prayers over the past several months, St. Paul's Anglican Church Ladies Guild for their concern, support and kindness, The Rev'd Grace Coleman Anthony for her timely prayer, presence and dialogue with Sandy and her family throughout her illness. A special thanks to Dr. Maddison and the wonderful staff and volunteers at our community hospice. Cremation has taken place, and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17th at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Point Edward with The Rev'd Grace Coleman Anthony officiating. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the St. Joseph's Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of your choice. Sandy will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
