Ruth Isabell Hassett

HASSETT, RUTH - Ruth Isabell (Timms) Hassett passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Monday, April 11, 2022 at the age of 89.  Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack.  She was the mother of Bob (Karen) Hassett, Harry Hassett, John Hassett and (preceded in death) Richard (Deb) Hassett, grandmother of Jennifer Harlow, Heather (Brian) Datz, Ryan (Jennifer) Kelley, and Jim (Kayla) Kelley, Jessica and Tyler Hassett, and Josh Grattan, great grandmother of Rebecca, Jackson, William, Harper, and Hendrix.  Sister of Ray (Marlene) Timms and (preceded in death) Bob (Bonnie) Timms. Ruth was born on July 22, 1932 in Sarnia to Joseph and Annie Timms.  She married Jack on September 19, 1953 and was a homemaker all her married life.  She was a longstanding member of Central Baptist Church. Thanks to Vision Nursing Home for their excellent care over the past few years as well as the Palliative Unit at Bluewater Health.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia Humane Society ( www.sarniahumanesociety.com) or a charity of your choice.  Private arrangements have been entrusted to the D.
