Ruth Elizabeth Brock

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Afton Park Place on Sunday, September 9th in her 94th year. Predeceased by Wilfred (2007) her loving husband of over 70 years. Beloved mother of Marilyn Miller, Betty Anne Hardy, Lynda (Jim) Bond, John (Lynda) Brock and Dave Brock. Cherished Nana to Brenda (Ray) Maola, Carrie (Bryan) Ball, Wayne (Sheril) Hardy, Cheryl (Steve) Maxwell, Chris (Mike) Pedlar, Laurie Aikin, Doug (Tracy) Aikin, Jeff (Marg) Brock, Kelly (Terry) Bell, Connie Brock and Jason (Courtney) Brock, 23 grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Also survived by special niece Diana (Mike) Ward and sister-in-law Marion Claxton and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by granddaughter Sandra Hardy, grandson Robert Brock, sister Ethel Campbell, brothers Walter and Jack Claxton and sons-in-law Bill Goulding and Mel Miller. She was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. The family extends thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at Afton. Friends will be received by the family at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 12th at 1:00 pm. Cremation will take place and a graveside service with family at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
