At Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Monday, June 28, 2010, RONALD FRANCIS HARRINGTON, age 86, of Sarnia, beloved husband of Marie Louise (White) Harrington. Dear father of Steve Harrington and his wife Debby of Drayton Valley, Alberta and Russ Harrington and his wife Marg of Oakville. Loving grandfather of Brooklyn Rae Harrington, Brett Andrew Harrington, Jeneile Marie Peebles and her husband Corey, Elise Jennifer Harrington and Jordan Christian Harrington. Pre-deceased by a brother Leonard Harrington and a sister Eileen Wood, Mr. Harrington was born at Margate, Kent, England and had resided in Sarnia since 1957. A member of Trinity Anglican Church, Mr. Harrington was a veteran of World War II, where he served as an artillary surveyer with the 126 th. Highland Field Regiment in the 51 st. Highland Division landing at Juno Beach, Normandy. From D Day until the end of the war the regiment was close support artillary for the 5 th. and 7 th. Battalions of the Black Watch as part of the Canadian 1 st. Army. Funeral service will be held at TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH, 1194 Murphy Road, on Saturday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm. with Archdeacon Richard Salt officiating. Cremation to follow. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Charity of Choice (cheques only please). Arangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE.
