It is with heart-breaking sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Robert Sanford Ployart on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Bluewater Health, with his loving wife by his side.
If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever.
Born in Stratford, Ontario, Bob moved to Sarnia to work for Dow Chemical, retiring after dedicating 37 years; a job well done!
Bob was the nuts and bolts of the family. He was the husband, best friend, and Captain to his loving wife Jerrie. It was love at first sight!
Dedicated father to his son’s Taryn (Cheryl) of Bright’s Grove, and Ryan (Krisann) of Sarnia. He was proudly known as Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Travis, Ethan, Jacob, and Ava.
When we count our blessings, we count him twice.
Survived by his sisters; Valerie Hasson (Greg) of Goderich and Sheila Putzenburger (the late Roland) of Edson, Alberta, and sister-in-law Carol Bittman (John) of Dundas; along with their families.
Predeceased by his mother; Marjorie (Haveling) Ployart; along with many special relatives in Stratford. Also predeceased by his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law; John and Marion Foster of Sarnia.
Bob was knowledgeable and loved to talk on any subject. His hearty laugh and smile will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was always willing to help out in a moment’s notice and eager to volunteer his time to help those in need. “A Life Well Lived”
A true “Road Warrior”, he loved to take off and hit the roads in search of new adventures. Bob braved the roads and bears, on a biking expedition out West. Along with Jerrie, he safely drove them through wonderful destinations such as Alaska, Yukon, and Mexico on multiple occasions.
He was an avid fisherman, to say the least. Thanks to all of his fishing buddies, he treasured every moment out on the water. To everyone who listened to all of his fish tales, we are truly thankful.
IF OTHERS WONDER WHY I’M MISSIN’, JUST TELL ‘EM I’VE GONE FISHIN’
Many thanks, to all the doctors and wonderful nursing staff in the palliative department at Bluewater Health; for all of their support and care in his final days.
