Kartzmark, Robert (Bob) of Sarnia passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on August 21st, 2014 at the age of 92. Bob was married to the love of his life, his wife Betty, for 64 years. He was a devoted family man to his four children, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by Betty, and their children Mary (Dave), Lynn (Jan), Scott (Cheri) and Doug (Gay); grandchildren Jason (Mary), Kristin (Greg), Cody (Brady), Lindsay (Jason), Levi, Dylan, Adria (Bob), Jesse (Dana), and Sebastien; great-grandchildren Christapher, Kyle, Lyla and Julia; as well as other extended family. Predeceased by brothers, Martin and Roy and sister, Elinor. After farming for 25 years in Selkirk, Bob went on to complete his Masters Degree in Chemistry at the University of Manitoba. He moved his family to Sarnia in 1956 and began a 31 year career in the research department at Imperial Oil. Throughout his life, Bob also enjoyed carpentry, gardening, fishing, travelling, crossword puzzles and learning computer skills. In addition to volunteering with the Red Cross, Bob was always there to lend a hand for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Victorian Order of Nurses.
