Robert Kent Gardner

A piece of our hearts is missing. After a brave fight at Bluewater Health on Saturday, November 16, 2013, ROBERT KENT GARDNER, age 72 of Sarnia, peacefully passed away. He was the dear husband of 49 years to Sylvia Gardner (nee Stonehouse) and loving father of Stacey MacKinlay (Scott) of Camlachie and Joel Gardner of Grande Prairie, beloved papa and best friend of Blake, Spencer, Logan and Jesse, brother of Don Gardner and his wife Debbie, Donna Canning and her husband Brian and Barb Gardner, brother in law of Ron Yorke, Becky Ramsay (Larry), Bill Hoskin (Dolly) and son in law of Lil Hoskin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his parents Pliny and Daisy Gardner and his in laws Stan and Florence Stonehouse and sister in law Mary Yorke. Bob retired from Polysar after 35 years of service and volunteered with the United Way, Bluewater Musical, Polysar Glee Club and the Huron Shores Optimist's Club. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 21st at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. and again on Thursday from noon until service time. Memorial gifts in memory of Bob to the Bluewater Health Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
