ROBERT MICHAEL (ROBBIE) ESPLEN - In the arms of his loving wife, surrounded by his girls and dear loving family, Rob lost his courageous battle that he fought so hard for his family on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospice. Beloved husband and best friend of Deborah (Hartley) Esplen and proud and loving father of Erin, Michelle and Robyn. Beloved son of Diane Esplen and the late Robert Esplen. Brother of Brenda Dixon of Aurora and uncle of Laura, Greg and Stephen Dixon and Taylor and Rachel Hartley. Son in law of Phil Hartley (Janis) and the late Gloria Hartley and brother in law of Scott Hartley (Krystal) and Rod Hartley (Teresa). Employed at Terra for many years, Robbie was a long time member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. Much gratitude goes to a very special friend, Randy Breuer, who shared in Rob's fight and became an extended member of our family. Thank you to all of Rob's friends who visited and gave words of encouragement and support over this trying time. Thank you to Dr. Maddison, the nurses, staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospice who treated us all with compassion and relieved not only Rob's pain and worry, but ours as well. A celebration of Rob's life will be held at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club on Friday, November 12th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph's Hospice (cheques only please). Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE.
