Robert Bruce Durance

Robert Bruce Durance passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013. Loving husband of 46 years of Susan (Peaker) and loving father of Kelly Dianne Mootrey of Sarnia and Robert John James Durance (Joanna) of Collingwood and son-in-law David Mootrey of Sarnia. Much loved grandfather of Cassandra Dianne Tite (Kevin), Kevin Mootrey, and Jesse Mootrey all of Sarnia and Vienna Grace Durance of Collingwood and great grandfather of Emily Elizabeth Tite of Sarnia. Also survived by brothers Donald (Gail) of Sarnia, James (Audrey) of Marysville, Michigan, sister Barbara Holmes of Sarnia, sister-in-law Debra Watson (Dave) of Corunna and brother-in-law Paul Peaker (Debbie) of Sarnia and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret (Causley) Durance, brother Michael Neifer, sister-in-law Del Neifer, and in-laws John and Mary Peaker of Sarnia. Bob was a 46-year member of Local 663, Plumbers, Pipefitters and Welders, a former member of the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club and Sarnia Figure Skating Club. He loved fishing and boating and he and Sue spent a number of years boating and fishing in Georgian Bay as well as fishing in the Bluewater Salmon Derby.

Cremation has taken place and private family committal service will be held later at Lakeview Cemetery.
