ROBERT LLOYD CAMPBELL

December 12, 1934-October 5, 2018

Passing peacefully at his home on October 5, 2018 in his 84th year.  Predeceased by his wife Olive (2011), both of Point Edward.  Loving father of Roberta (Klaus), Robert (Gloria), Kim, Heather (Dave), Alanna (Earl) and Tara (Dave).  Cherished grandfather of Corrie (Trevor), Sandra (Greg), Debbie, Jamie (Paul), TJ, Marlena (Steve), Katheryn and Xander.  Cherished great-grandfather of Amber, Tyra, Ella, Owen, Brayden, Damien, Khloe, Aria-Jade, Haley, Desiree, Yasmie, Christian and Xavier.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.   He worked on the ships through the Great Lakes.  Joining the Victoria Rifles, he was then posted to 2nd Battalion Queen’s Own Rifles, changed to 3rd Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in early 70’s.  Posted to 2nd Field Amb. Logistics. Service Support 4th Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment.  Once retired, was a member for many years with the Point Edward Optimists and the Point Edward Ex Servicemens Association.  Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Tuesday October 16th at 1:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held at the Ex Servicemens Association on Tuesday October 23rd at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
