Richard Michael Clayton, born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, was a dedicated individual who devoted 31 years of his life to working the line at Windsor Chrysler Canada. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his peaceful passing at home in Sarnia.
Richard, known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment, leaves behind a legacy of hard work and perseverance. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and diligent worker who always went above and beyond to ensure the job was done with precision.
Outside of work, Richard found joy in one of his greatest passions - Baseball. He had a deep love for the sport and spent many hours enjoying games with family and friends. His enthusiasm for Baseball was infectious, and he shared that love with those around him.
Richard was predeceased by his beloved parents, Ernest and Helen, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms on the other side. He is survived by his devoted spouse of 46 years, Carol Clayton (nee Reid), who stood by his side through thick and thin. He also leaves behind his cherished child, Tabitha Brun (Clayton) and son-in-law Nathan Brun.
In this time of mourning, let us remember the joy Richard brought into our lives and the warmth he exuded to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness and gentle spirit. As per Richard's wishes, in lieu of flowers please consider sending donations to the Sarnia District Humane Society in honor of his love for animals at https://sarniahumanesociety.com/ Rest in peace Richard, you will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing you.
