TILLEY, REV. STEPHEN EDWARD – Resting in the arms of Jesus, our beloved and cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He passed away at Bluewater Health on Sunday, January, 17, 2016, Rev. Stephen Edward Tilley, age 95. He is survived by his wife Patricia Joan (Cosman) Tilley of Sarnia, his children Cathy (David) Dent of Chatham, Nancy (Rev. Ron) Pearce of Barrie, Stephen (Lynda) Tilley of Georgetown and Rhonda (Chris) Bezaire of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Lillian (Beacroft) Tilley and a brother Lloyd Tilley, a Flying Officer with the Lancaster Bomber Squadron-RCAF. Rev. Tilley was born at Windsor and had been a Sarnia area resident since 1979. He was a 1947 graduate of the Ontario Pentecostal Bible College in Toronto. During his ministry he pastored churches in Barrie, Midland, Belleville and lastly the Family Church in Sarnia. In his retirement he was an active member of the Triple “C” Carving Club, the Strangway Centre and the Devine Street Gospel Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, January 25th at 11:00 am. with Rev. Brent Farquhar of the Christian and Missionary Alliance officiating. A private family interment service will be held later at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, January 24th between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Memorial donations made through donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
