Phyllis Scott

SCOTT, PHYLLIS MARION (JENKEN) é¢a‚" Phyllis, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2009 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care from complications of a stroke. She is the beloved wife of the late Norman Scott (Nov.20th, 2008) and the dear mother of Carol Kennedy and her husband Robert and Brian Scott and his wife Candace all of Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Andrew Knowles and his girlfriend, Nicole Paquette, Ryan Knowles, Kyle Scott and his wife Jennifer and Lindsay Scott. Step-grandmother of Anne and Jeannette Kennedy. Phyllis was an only child, but was happy when surrounded by the large Scott family. She is survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Baines and Margaret Scott, brothers-in-law Robert Scott, Bruce Barry and David Kilbreath, and several nieces and nephews. She is also loved by her cousins in the Jenken family. Phyllis is predeceased by sisters-in-law Anne Barry, Margaret Kilbreath and Patricia Knight and brothers-in-law John Scott, Ross Baines and James Knight. For more than 80 years Phyllis lived in Point Edward and was an active participant in the village community. The Point Edward United Church has always been an important part of Phyllis's life and she will be missed by her many friends there. She was a devoted wife to Norm who was her sweetheart since elementary school. Since Norm's passing, Phyllis has done her best to continue an active life at the Residence On the St.Clair and her church. She will be remembered for her strength of character, her generous spirit and her devotion to her family. Funeral service will be held at POINT EDWARD UNITED CHURCH, 213 Michigan Ave., Point Edward on Thursday, May 28 th. at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday afternoon and evening, May 27 th. from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Point Edward United Church (cheques only please).
