FOWLER, PEARL - Surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Morwenna “Pearl” Fowler passed away in her 94th year after a month long battle to regain her health following a stroke. Loving mother to Mitch (Wendy) Fowler, cherished grandmother of Lissa (Dee) MacDonald, Krista (Stephen) Brush, Amy (Jeff) MacLean and very proud “Grandma Pearl” to her great grandchildren Charlsey Dekort, Mitchell Brush, Meghan, Matthew and Maddison MacDonald, Connor, Taylor and Carter MacLean. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her furry, constant companion “Missy”. Predeceased by her husband Roy (2004) and son John (1968) parents William and Emma Westlake and her brothers Harry, Jack and Geordie Westlake. Pearl retired from Sarnia General Hospital after many years where she had worked in the lab and made many lifelong friends including special friend Cheryl. Following retirement Pearl and Roy spent many enjoyable winters in Florida. Pearl was the source of knowledge and support to her family and maintained her independence driving herself to her weekly lunches and card games. Pearl loved children, animals, visiting, card games, reading, music and a glass of merlot but her greatest love was for her family and many friends and we will miss her. A memorial service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia) on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 12:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at 11:00 am. Memorial donations in memory of Pearl may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Bluewater Health or the Sarnia Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE.
