Paul Douglas Brooks

The family of PAUL DOUGLAS BROOKS announces with great sorrow his peaceful passing in his home on March 22, 2021 at the age of 60. Paul is predeceased by both of his parents Cecil Brooks and Patricia (Orval) Demeray, his older brothers Cecil (Jim) Brooks (Alice) and Don Brooks (Karen), as well as his nephew Justin Brooks. Paul was a proud father of April (Dana) Koch of Calgary and grandfather to Autumn Koch. Paul will be forever remembered by his three sisters, Brenda (Dan) Langlois of Courtright, Bonnie (Jack) Madere and Cindy Viggers (Lou King) of Sarnia. He will also be remembered fondly by his niece and nephews Andy (Summer), Stephanie (Bryan), Jeremy (Lisa), Jeffery (Coral), Kelly, Shawn (Jenn), Tiffany (Dave) and Autumn, as well as his great nieces and nephews. Paul was known for living his life on his own terms. He was happy when he was close to the water and has said he felt most at peace there. He would spend much of his time watching the boats and fishing on the river. If you knew Paul then you also knew he enjoyed his beer and playing cards games, like cribbage and bingo, with his family and friends. Paul enjoyed watching Jeopardy and with his wide range of knowledge and facts, he was really good at it too! Paul even managed to win the lottery once but if you were to ask him his family was worth far more than any amount of money. Paul was diagnosed with lung cancer and faced this with bravery and courage and was able to win this battle. Paul would want for his life to be celebrated not mourned by his many friends and family. Paul’s life has been an adventure that has taken him many places but being surrounded by his family is what he cherished most. May you rest in peace Paul. There will be no service at this time. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the D. J.
