Paul James Barr

BARR, PAUL - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Paul James Barr, age 81 of Sarnia. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of many years, Norine Jean (Jones) Barr, his daughter Carol (Bob Momney), and son David (Terri) Barr. Paul is also survived by his sister Judy Barr, sisters-in-law Judy Bandura, Marge Taglietti, Linda Jones and his brother-in-law Glyn Jones (Judy). He was predeceased by his parents Don and Edith Barr, in-laws John and Charlotte Jones, brothers-in-law Frank Bandura, Ray Taglietti and Rick Jones.

Paul’s greatest gifts in his life were his grandchildren Adam Teschke (Laura), Lyndsay Momney, Christopher Dagg, and his great grandchildren, Ryan and Sutton Teschke.   He loved watching and driving them to either hockey, baseball or basketball.  Nothing brought him greater joy.

A longtime Point Edward resident, Paul and Norine were the Owner/Operators of “Barr Jewellers” in downtown Sarnia for many years. Paul also was a life-long member of the Point Edward Optimist and the Point Edward Service Club.  Paul was always willing to lend a helping hand and his quick wit always brought a smile to everyone’s face.

For those wishing to do so charitable donations made in memory of Paul to The Inn of the Good Shepherd would be appreciated.

Paul’s wishes were for a simple private cremation. The arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
