Patricia Purves

At St. Joseph's Hospice on Sunday, August 22, 2010, PATRICIA ANN (GRIFFIN) PURVES, age 66 of Sarnia passed away. She is the loving wife of William (Bill) Purves of Sarnia and dear mother of Tracy Sheffer-Tauvette and her husband James and Vicki Newman and her husband Dale of Sarnia, proud grandmother of Korie and Nicholas Sheffer and Shaun and Katelyn Newman, daughter of Eric Griffin of Sarnia, sister of Martyn Griffin and his wife Sue of Midland, MI., and aunt of Janet, Derrick, Barry, Blaine and Jim. She was predeceased by her mother Ruby Griffin and her sister Valerie Boal. Born in Leicester, England and came to Canada in 1956. Mrs. Purves retired from the Sarnia Public Library after 26 years of service and was a longtime member of Al-Anon. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, August 25th between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Private interment of ashes will be held at Lakeview Cemetery.
