DAVIDSON, NORMAN – It is with sadness the family announces the death of Norman Cecil Davidson on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospice. He is survived by his dear wife of 62 years, Dawn (Duncan), his loving children Jim (Mary), Sandy (Dan) Daly, Brian (Joanne), Todd (Christina) and Kelly (Tom) VanderPloeg. He was the cherished grandpa of Steven, Patrick, Melinda (Pat), Tyler (Lauren), Brittany, Lindy, Molly, Madeline (Matt), Aaron, Bre, Tatum and Dallas, great-grandpa of Teah, Mavi and Arthur. He is also survived by brothers Bruce and Doug (Bev) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Lily, brothers Tom, John and Harry Hurst who was like a big brother to him. Norm was a longstanding member of the Pipefitters, Local #663 and a member of the Sarnia Yacht Club. He loved being near the water whether it was sailing, fishing or just watching the boats on the lake. Norm loved his east coast fiddle music, especially when he could join in with his spoons. The family would like to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice, especially the nursing staff for their kindness and excellent care. A gathering in celebration of Norm’s life will be held at the Sarnia Yacht Club on Monday, November 25th between the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 pm. As an expression of Sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N.
