At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, NORMA JEAN (MURPHY) EVANS, age 74, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Hugh Elgin Evans. Dear mother of Dorothy Ross and her husband Ray of Calgary, Donna Lukasiewicz and her husband Gerry of London, Dennis Evans and his wife Sue of Corunna, Diane Murray and her husband Al of Mooretown and Sandra Marcuzzi and her husband Kevin of Windsor. Loving grandma of Jeff, Jennifer, Jody, Jamie, Lindsey, Daniel, Trevor, Angela, Lisa, Ashley and Alex. Dear great grandmother of Kyle, Karli and Brodie. Dear sister of Mary Cady, Edith Druiett and her husband Harvey, John Murphy and his wife Ellen and Pat Murphy and his wife Sheila all of Sarnia and Hugh Murphy and his wife Lou of Corunna. Sister in law of Joyce Adams, Jean Magalas and her husband Merron and Verna Evans. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Richard (Jake), brothers Roy and Howard and sisters Helen, Dorothy and Jessie. A lifelong Sarnia area resident, Mrs. Evans was an avid bingo player and volunteered at Schizophrenia and Cancer Society Bingos. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 6th at 11:00 am. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of Bluewater Health or the Victorian Order of Nurses (cheques only please).
