Nina Julia Antoine

Peacefully, with her son by her side, Nina Julia Antoine, began her spiritual journey on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Bluewater Health at the age of 74.Loving mother to Shelley McEwen and her husband Gordon, Gerald Workman and his wife Holly and John Workman and his wife Norma. Dear grandmother of Vanessa (Reid Young), Andrew and Wesley, Courtney (James Cuthbert), Heather (Chris Stewart), Terry (Cait Wolfe) and great grandmother to; Aaliyah, Ashanti, Tavian, Isaac, Brycen, Presley, Kizzy, Nolan and Garrett.Will be greatly missed by her siblings; Janet, Leland and Ron Antoine, Debra Alcorn.Nina is predeceased by her parents John Antoine and Iva (Alcorn) Williams .Nina touched many lives with her passion for writing, storytelling, and teaching about her Native American Heritage. In keeping with Covid protocols, Nina’s visitations and funeral service will take place at her residence, please contact the family to schedule an appointment. Nina will be laid to rest beside her father John McKay Antoine at Aamjiwnaang First Nation Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choicewould be appreciated by the family.
