Nikolaos Fragis

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Monday, June 30, 2014 NIKOLAOS FRAGIS age 95 of Sarnia passed away. Beloved husband of Georgina (nee Kontakos) Fragis. Much loved father of Tony Fragis and his wife Dina and the late Angela Kapetanakis and her husband John, John Fragis and his wife Bessie. Cherished grandfather of Nick (Allison), Georgia, Niko, Pano, Stavro, Irene (Menelaos), Georgia (Platonas). Predeceased by his seven brothers and one sister. Will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Born in Sparta Greece, he immigrated to Canada in 1958. He and his wife Georgina were the owners of the Embassy Restaurant in downtown Sarnia for 12 years and was a prominent member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 3rd. between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1299 Murphy Rd. Sarnia) on Friday, July 4th. at 11:00 am. with Father Chrysostomos the celebrant. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
