CHURCH, MURIEL – It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Muriel Willene Church, nee Brillinger. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018 at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care Centre in London. She was the wife of the late William Hurd Church and is survived by her girls Jan Barylski (Stan), Judy Barylski (Steve) and Virginia Anzlin (John), grandmother of Aaron and Beth, Karen and Andrew, Michael and Karla and great-grandmother of six. She is also survived by her sister Phyllis Brillinger. She was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Lorraine Brillinger and her daughter Sheri Dixon. Muriel was the longest standing part-time teacher at Lambton College and was a longtime Sarnia resident who was very involved in the community with: Bluewater Power, Lambton County Board of Education, CNIB and several other charities as well. She was a practicing Yoga instructor reaching the status of Swami teaching many over the years in Sarnia. She continued teaching wheel chair yoga while a resident at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care Centre in London. She will be remembered for her always positive outlook on life and her many hats. At Muriel’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Muriel’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Friday, June 1st, 2018 at 2:30 pm. Memorial donations made in memory of Muriel to the CNIB or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
