Mildred "Ducky" Timmington

TIMMINGTON, MILDRED – On Sunday, July 28, 2019, Mildred “Ducky” Mary (Shaw) Timmington, age 92 of Point Edward passed away at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick James Timmington (2012) and dear mother of Brian Timmington (Kathy), Deb Brown (Tim) and Gayle Timmington, grandmother of B.J. (Dawn), Sabrina (Joe), Jason (Mandy), Jodilyn (Ashley), Ciara (Calvin) and Kiana (Jack), great-grandmother of Makayleigh, Pheonix, Michael and Benjamin. She was Aunt Ducky to nieces and nephews in Oshawa, Dundas, Cambridge, London, Sarnia, Point Edward, Alberta and Florida. Mildred was born in Point Edward and was the leader of the Point Edward Cub Scouts and was a very active member of Point Edward Presbyterian Church where she was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Women’s Friendship and Service Group. She was a lifetime member of Greenwood Golf Club. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). A celebration of her life will be held at Point Edward Presbyterian Church at 306 Michigan Avenue on Thursday, August 1st at 11:30 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service. Memorial donations made to Point Edward Presbyterian Church or St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
