Mary Ann Oake

It is with sadness that, after a short sudden illness we say farewell to our mother (MARY) ANN OAKE. She passed away at Bluewater Health on Monday July 13, 2020 in her 99th year.  Beloved wife of the late Max Oake (1986). She was born in Flowers Cove, Newfoundland. Her family moved to Corner Brook and then on to Montreal, Quebec. She and Max were married in Montreal in September of  1950 and then moved to Point Edward where Max had taken a job at Polymer Corp. and they began their life as a couple. They were parishioners of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Point Edward.  Ann is survived by her three children Nancy Rampley (John) of Orangeville, Ont., Brett Oake (June) of Holyrood, Newfoundland and Dawn Sands of Sarnia, Ont.  Ann enjoyed being with her 6 grandchildren, Greg Rampley (Amanda Starr) of Ottawa, Matt Rampley (Tanya) of Uxbridge, Emily Hassin (Mike Cryderman) of Newbury, Colin Hassin (Jasmine Coble) of Vancouver, Malcolm Hassin also of Vancouver and Clark Oake of St. John’s. They enjoyed being with her. She will also be missed by her 5 great-grandchildren Caleb and Caidra Rampley-Starr, Thomas and Zoe Rampley and Llewellyn Hassin.
