Mary Lou Hodgins

HODGINS, (RAWLINGS) MARY LOU - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Lou Hodgins, age 85 of Sarnia on Sunday October 18, 2020 at Twin Lakes Terrace. She was the loving wife of Thomas Hodgins who predeceased her earlier this year, dear father of David Hodgins and his wife Janette, Cathy Bayly and her husband Kevin, grandmother of Rebecca and Sarah Hodgins, Mike Mann and his wife Kelly, Chris Mann and his wife Amber, great-grandmother of Hayden, Sullivan, Grace and Olivia and sister of Pat Wright and her husband Bob Wright. She was predeceased by her brother Don Rawlings and his wife Pat. Mary worked at Ontario Hydro before her marriage, she then moved to an accounting firm prior to leaving the work force to raise her children. She enjoyed all the time she spent with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to knit since she was a small child and her mittens, hats, sweaters and oven mitts can be found across Canada.  She took this passion with her to a local wool shop sharing her knowledge with others and making many lifelong friends along the way.  She was active at Parker Street Church as well until its closing.  She loved spending time at the family cottage in Lion’s Head, spending hours watching her beloved cardinals at the bird feeder.  Although Mary Lou was tiny in stature she had a huge heart that touched so many who will miss her. Charitable donations made to the Victoria Order of Nurses would be appreciated. Due to the restrictions on services caused by Covid19, joint services in celebration of Mary and Tom’s life at the funeral home will be by invitation only. Please note that masks or face coverings are mandatory. The services have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N.
