At Vision Nursing Home on Friday, September 24, 2010, P. MARY (WESCOTT) CARTER, age 85, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Clarence Charles Carter. Dear mother of Shirley Ann Hickman (Bob) of Stirling, ON, Grace Allingham (Tom) and Brenda Pomoransky (Peter) all of Sarnia. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Edward Douglas Wescott, Mavis McQueen and Sheila Wells all in England. Pre-deceased by a son Allan James Carter, two grandsons Tim and Joshua Hickman, a brother Kenneth Wescott and three sisters Iris Riley, Enid Bond and Ruby Muse. A veteran of World War II, Mrs. Carter was born at Caistor, England and had resided in the Sarnia area since 1945. She was a member of Canon Davis Memorial Anglican Church. Funeral service will be held at CANON DAVIS MEMORIAL ANGLICAN CHURCH, (Russell and Maxwell Streets) on Monday, September 27 th. at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Bettson officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Vision Activity Fund, Threads of Life or the Charity of Choice.
