It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Atkin age 93 after a life well lived and a courageous battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth "DuffY" Atkin (1980), dear mother of Mary Rivers (Steve), Bill Atkin (Sue), cherished grandmother of Melissa O'Mahony (John) Scott Atkin (Angelina), Randy Rivers, Jodie Campbell (Jamie) Ellen Riverwood (Kristen) Mike Atkin (Elizabeth) , Mark Lumley (Melissa) . Great grandmother of Devin, Victoria, Sapphire, Charlie, Ayden, Carter, Tanner, Madison, Zac, Watson, Halle, Izzy, Laila, Olivia, Jaden, Ryan .Sister of Jim Moore (Gayle) & Ida Murray. Loving aunt of Geoff,(Jacey) Sarah, Cathy (Denis) Gerald (Anita) Stephen (Carol) Dennis (Patti). She was predeceased by her son Tom (2012) and her granddaughter Caitlin (2017)
Marjorie was President of Sarnia Cranes. As our family matriarch she exuded quiet grace & dignity and provided valuable wisdom during both joyful and challenging times. She embodied integrity & resilience and taught us the value of strong family bonds. Marjorie was truly a remarkable woman who embraced life with a contagious enthusiasm, inspiring others and having a positive impact on their lives. She enjoyed many passions that brought joy to her life, including travels around the world, golf, volunteering and giving generously to causes close to her heart.
We find solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace. We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who have offered their support and condolences. Special thanks to Dr John O'Mahony, Cathy La Pointe, Mandy Smith and all of the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers of St Joseph's Hospice

A celebration of her life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9) on Wednesday June 28th at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 27th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service.
