Mario Recchia

It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Mario Recchia, age 90 of Sarnia at Bluewater Health on Friday, June 14, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years Rosa Recchia (nee Iannucci) who passed away on September 23, 2023. Dear father of Gerry (Maria) Recchia and Lisa Recchia, Loving Nonno to Daniel, Aaron, Julia and Alexa. Predeceased by his parents Gerardo and Fiorina Recchia, sons Gerardo and Annino Recchia and sister Maria (Alfredo) Ianni. 

A special thank – you to his brothers in-law and sisters in-law for their long time love and support: Arcangela and the late Emilio Vozza; the late Natalino and the late Maria Lepore. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Bluewater Health and Fiddick’s Nursing Home for the exceptional care dad received.

 Family and friends will be received at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 5W9) on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (1465 Lecaron Avenue, Sarnia, ON. N7V 3J4) on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
