Marie Wilkins

MARIE (BOURQUE) MAYER WILKINS - Peacefully with her family by her side at Bluewater Health on January 1st, 2011, Marie at the age of 83 years, joined the angels in Heaven. Marie was born on May 18, 1927 in Iroquois Falls, ON. Lovingly remembered by her children Lucille Sepich (Nick), John Mayer (Brenda), Jeannette Carr (Steve), Norman Mayer (Marilyn) and special niece Rollande Gabriel and loving companion Bill Mitchell. Predeceased by sister Simone, brothers Rolland and Fernand Bourque, husband Marcel Mayer and son Robert Mayer. She will be deeply missed by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and had a love of life. She had a very active retirement, enjoyed dancing, shopping and was therefore nicknamed é¢a‚A"Go-Go Grannyé¢a‚. Visitation will be held at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Tuesday January 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday January 5th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Prayers will be offered on Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a Charity of Choice (cheques only please).
