Marie Hibbard

                             June 4, 1920 –March 11, 2023

Marie Hibbard passed away peacefully at Idlewyld Manor in Hamilton on March 11, 2023. Predeceased by her husband Aubrey, parents James Allen and Annie Scott, siblings Olive, Margaret, Stewart, Jack and Catherine, daughter in law Paula Hibbard, grandchildren Becky Hibbard and Bobby Hibbard. 

Survived by her children Robert Hibbard (Beth), Dave Hibbard, Bonnie Hibbard, and Allen Hibbard (Mary-Ann). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Shannan Hibbard, Scott Hibbard and Paul Hibbard as well as 5 great grandchildren.

Marie was born on a farm in Saskatchewan on June 4, 1920 but lived most of her years in Sarnia, Ontario.  Many who knew and loved Marie would comment on her gentle sweet spirit and her joy for life. Marie had a profound love for God and His word. She is now resting in her long awaited eternal home.

Marie was much loved by the staff, residents and family members at Idlewyld Manor especially the staff at Gateside.  We would like to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thank you to all the staff for the above and beyond loving care extended to our mother during her time there. Words cannot properly express our appreciation and gratitude.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday April 1, 2023. Family will receive guests at 11:00 am at the Sarnia Church of Christ, 796 Errol Road. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the same site.
