Margaret Hill

At Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 peacefully with her family by her side, MARGARET PORTER HILL, age 85, of Sarnia passed away to be re-united with her dear husband George. She was predeceased by her husband George Scotty Hill (2013), whom with she had just celebrated 64 years of marriage. Loving mother of Linda Killoran and her husband Joe of Sarnia and Sue Jones of Calgary. Cherished grandmother of Jeff, Laura and Kelly Killoran of Sarnia and Whitney Jones of Calgary. During her lifetime, Margaret was a foster parent to many young boys and girls, who treasured her kindness and loving support and guidance. She was a Cub Leader at Paterson Memorial Church for many years and had served in various roles within the Sarnia District Children's Aid Society. Margaret was a long time supporter of the Sarnia Bees, Petrolia Squires and was a season ticket holder of the Sarnia Sting since their inaugural season. Margaret enjoyed many close and loyal friendships over the years, especially with Jan and Helena Van Tintelen, and the past and present residents at Royal Oak Towers, who she played weekly card games with. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Margaret's Life will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Bluewater Health Foundation or St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton, would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to family physician Dr. William J. Vornberger and his staff, the caring organization at Bluewater Health, and all her special care givers (especially Victoria and Brittany) for their compassionate care.
