Margaret Josephine Chalmers

With loving and grateful hearts, for a life well lived, we sadly announce the passing of our Mother, Margaret Chalmers (Haddon/Pelletier) in her 98th year, on July 20 ,2024, at Afton Park Place. In her words” I have had a wonderful life”. Her love and support for and to her family was paramount in her life and Mom was dearly loved by all them. 

Mom was proud of working at Sears for 25 years and loved her 30 plus years of golf and curling at the Sarnia Club.

Beloved Mother of Andrea Guthrie, Mike Haddon (Alice), Janice Rollo (Stu), Randy Haddon (Carol). Cherished grandmother to Kristy, Barry, Steve (Danielle), Laura (Ryan) Tyler (Jenilee), Sarah (Mike), Ryan, Macgregor (Ricki). Great grandchildren, Emma, Griffin, Haleigh, Trevor, Mason, Wyatt, Melody, Willa, Ollie, Sloane, Layla, Everett, Jack, Otis and Myra-Lynn. Mom held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, the Haddon family and her Pelletier family.

Predeceased by her husband Ollie Haddon (1984) and husband Les Chalmers (2007), daughter, Nancy, (1973) son-in-law Mitch Guthrie, parents Alec and Lily Pelletier, brother, Phil Pelletier.

Resting at D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St. Sarnia) where services will be held on Thursday July 25th at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all the staff of Afton Park Place and especially the Stonehaven Team for their compassion and caring dedication to Mom over the last 6 years.
