Lynda Jane Gibb

GIBB, Lynda Jane - beloved only child of the late Mildred Patricia (Patsy) Gibb and Efton St. Clair (Gibby) Gibb died at the age of 64 on October 20, 2014. She will be deeply missed by her cousin Susan Brock and Russell, her wide circle of friends, her goddaughter Tracey Koos and family. and her little dog Rufus. She is also survived by her cousin Joseph Murray, wife Gaye and family. Born in Sarnia, Lynda taught at S.C.I.&T. S. and N.C.I.V.S. Through her drama productions, she touched many lives. In her retirement, Lynda travelled extensively. She also volunteered with the Sarnia Health Coalition, Communities in Bloom and the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario. During her illness, Lynda was assisted by many caring individuals and organizations. Special thanks go to the CCAC, the Palliative Care Team, VON nurses, especially Terrence and Stephanie, all Lynda's Bayshore caregivers, her doctors, and the Oncology Unit staff. Extreme gratitude is extended to Lynda's "posse" - Maria, Mike, and their extended family, Diana and Paul, Betty Anne and Bill, Arlene, Peg and Bill, Sue and Al, Tessa, and Michele and Ernie. Lynda requested cremation with no visitation or service. A private interment ceremony will be held. A celebration of Lynda's life will be held Saturday November 29th from 2 till 4 pm at the Sarnia Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 on Front Street. Donations in Lynda's memory may be made to Palliative Care at Bluewater Health, or St. Joseph's Hospice.
