Lucy Jean Bennett

BENNETT, LUCY - At BWH-CEE Petrolia on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Lucy Jean (Denison) Bennett, age 77 of Oil Springs passed away. She was the dear mother of Jim Bennett and his wife Virginia, Jennie Kimble and her husband Kalvin, loving grandmother of Matthew (Jennifer), Joshua (Jenn), Jonathan (Naomi), Nicolas (Rhian), Chris (Ila), Kathy (Bob) , great-grandmother of Aiden, Victory, Everly, Derek, Julia, Zackary, Timothy, Miles, Aaron, Brandon, Lilah, Evan, Ella and Kenneth.  She is also survived by her brother Fred Denison (Ruby). She was predeceased by her parents Fred (1990) and Jennie (2000) Denison, her sister Patricia Bourne, her dear friend Rosie Dalgleish. Lucy had retired as head of security from Cox Security Services at the Woolco Department Store in Sarnia. She was a founding member of Oil Heritage Family Church who loved wood carving and also ran the We Care Food Bank in Oil Springs. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9) where the funeral and committal services will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations made in memory of Lucy to the Oil Heritage Family Church / Voice of Truth Church. (cheques for the church can be made payable to V.O.T.C.) or the We Care Food Bank (cheques for the food bank can be made payable to V.O.T.C. with "food bank" on the memo line) in Oil Springs would be appreciated by the family.
